I walk the seafront late in the evenings. Often. It is where I go to think, to breathe, to be still. One night the moon broke through the clouds and laid itself across the water like a path going somewhere I couldn't quite see.
I came home and painted it.
The moonlight on the water, the stars scattered between the clouds, the silence that only the sea at night can give you — this is that moment, exactly as I felt it.
